(Note: Savannas State Preserve is located along the west side of
Indian River (DeLorme 103 A1-B1). You have to read vertically (almost)
to see the name. According to Dotty Hull there is a portion of Walton
Road that is in the preserve and is accessible. Florida Scrub-Jays are
often seen there, she says, and we can attest because apparently from Will's photo,
one landed on his windshield wiper!)
